Two theatres just a stone’s throw from the airport.
Located near Muscat International Airport, the new Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) is in an area known as the “City of Gratitude”. This development is part of a government plan to revitalise the tourism sector.
The OCEC contains five halls with more than 20,000 square metres of exhibition space, 33 meeting rooms and hospitality suites, a multi-storey car park, an energy centre, a 3200-seat auditorium, a 450-seat theatre, 2 ballrooms with capacities of 1200 and 540 guests, 20 additional meeting and conference rooms, and two 300-room hotels.
TMA took part in the project by supplying all the seats in the Centre’s 2 main theatres.

Concerts and opera music
There are two theatres in the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre: a 3200-seat, multi-level opera theatre with state-of-the-art audio and video systems and a smaller theatre that can accommodate up to 540 people, suitable for meetings and conferences.
